Editorial Policy

Our guides help people spend real money on software. That’s a responsibility, so here is exactly how we produce them.

We rely on primary sources

Prices, plan limits, credit rules and feature availability come from the vendors’ own pricing pages and documentation. Deliverability and compliance content is based on official guidance from mailbox providers (such as Google, Yahoo and Microsoft) and regulators. Every guide ends with a list of the sources we used, with the date we accessed them.

We don’t fake experience

We never claim to have tested something we haven’t, publish invented benchmarks, or present vendor marketing numbers as independent results.

Hands-on notes

Some guides include a “Hands-on notes” box. It records only what happened in our own account on the date shown, with the plan and setup we used. Some of these checks are carried out by an AI assistant operating the browser in our account, and we say so in the note. During tests we don’t email, call or message real prospects, and we don’t publish anyone’s personal contact data.

Every recommendation is conditional

There is rarely a single “best” tool. Each guide explains the trade-offs, who a product suits, and who should look elsewhere. Every product we cover gets its real downsides listed.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help with research and drafting. Every factual claim is checked against the primary sources listed in the article before publication, and a person is responsible for everything we publish.

We date and update our guides

Software pricing changes often. Each article shows when it was published or last updated, and price tables note the month they reflect. We revisit guides regularly and whenever a reader or vendor tells us something has changed.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and update the article’s date. To report an error, email hello@thestackedcreator.com with the page URL and, ideally, a link to the source.
